INTRO PARTNERS GUESTS REGISTRATION PROGRAM APPLICATION

21–22 November 2025 Fort Science, Olomouc
15th Annual International Conference
The 15th annual international conference “SPORT PSYCHOLOGY IN PRACTICE 2025” will focus on a broad spectrum of topics related to elite athletic performance and sport as a component of a healthy lifestyle. The full program will be announced during the summer, and registration opens on 25 August 2025.
Performance is omnipresent in professional sport — it serves as a benchmark of success and the ultimate goal for athletes, coaches, and even parents. Sport psychologists support this pursuit by fostering a winning mindset, strengthening motivation, and developing mental skills. In this way, performance becomes a constant object of improvement.
But what if we shift our focus to its opposite — non-performance? Could that too be a deliberate strategy for athletes? Must we always strive for results, or is it sometimes more meaningful to pause, slow down, or even stop? Joy in movement, long-term health, rest, recovery, and rehabilitation — these are all forms of “non-performance” that can be just as valuable as podium finishes.
At this international sport psychology conference, we’ll address not only the cultivation of peak performance, but also ask critical questions:
- Can we find balance between performance pressure and joy in movement?
- What does a healthy relationship to performance look like — for athletes and those around them?
- And can conscious “non-performance” be a gateway to deeper growth, self-awareness, authentic living, and ultimately even greater performance?
Featured Topics:
- Developing mental skills in athletes through coaching
- Mental preparation for peak competition
- Who performs more — the coach or the athlete?
- Performance vs. mental well-being
- Sustainability of physical activity in daily life
